After many years writing, performing and recording my own songs, I began to find new characters emerging in them - not drawn from just my own experiences but needing larger, new, narrative structures in which to exist. I feel that the inherent theatricality of being a performing musician and witnessing others in that world, had gradually seeped into my work, alongside the influence of theater in NYC, and I became hooked on writing musicals.
