The Universal Thump is a band led by Greta Gertler Gold & Adam D Gold. They have performed extensively - presenting duo drum/piano to orchestral 'whale of sound' pop ensembles - throughout the USA, Australia and Europe. They feel grateful to have collaborated with many incredible musicians throughout the world. Check out and purchase their eponymous double-album here.

In 2015, they released their 'Walking the Cat' EP, which they recorded at Abbey Road Studios following their second successful Kickstarter Campaign.  They produced the 'whale of sound' benefit concert performance of George Harrison's 'All Things Must Pass' for its 40th Anniversary at The Bell House, Brooklyn, and are the founders of the annual, Passover-inspired variety show The Seder-Songwriter Project at Joe's Pub. Check out heir song SEDER-MASOCHISTIC (featuring Lauren Molina). Listen to their NPR Song of the Day OPENING NIGHT.

They are currently working slowly on releasing a collection of Digital (only) Singles, and rebuilding their home studio after a devastating fire destroyed the apartment building they lived in (including their beloved cat Minke, pictured as a kitten below, and inspiration for their song Walking the Cat) in April 2019.

Check out their song MIDDLE LIFE here.
